Pleated blinds feature a single layer of concertina fabric that can be raised and lowered using either a cord, tension system or by electric motor.

We have a large selection of pleated blinds from leading manufacturers including Louvolite and Eclipse in both dim out and blackout fabrics with a large selection of patterns and textures available. Many fabrics also have an active solar coating on the rear which helps keep rooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

With our pleated blinds, we used the equal pleat system as standard which features extra supporting cords to the rear of the blind which support the pleats to avoid them sagging over time. If this cord is not used then the fabric has a tendency to bunch together at the bottom of the blind with the pleats becoming flat near the top. We use this system on both our freehanging and Perfect Fit pleated blinds to make sure that they retain their neat appearance over the long term.

Honeycomb Blinds

Honeycomb blinds are similar to pleated blinds although they have two fabric layers producing a honeycomb/cellular profile. Due to their structure, honeycomb blinds offer greater energy saving and insulating properties due to the air pocket between the fabrics. Honeycomb blinds are also available with an aluminium layer between the fabrics which helps to reflect heat in the summer and retain warmth in the winter. We have a great choice of honeycomb blinds from leading manufacturers with ranges from DUETTE, Louvolite and Eclipse.

Due to the cellular structure, the operating or tensioning cords are not visible on the face of the blind as they run between the layers of fabric which reduces the amount of light coming through the blind, which is especially advantageous on blackout fabrics.

Both our pleated and honeycomb blinds are available with a number of hardware colours (headrail, bottom bar etc) and have a number of control options available including motorisation.
